Internet Download Manager or IDM is indeed an idol software in terms of downloads. But lately a case appears which is rather strange in my opinion. Many have experienced a notification that appears from IDM that says "Internet Download Manager has been registered with a fake serial number". And maybe almost all IDM users experience notifications like this.
Actually the notification that appears because of this fake series does not affect IDM performance, because IDM can still be used as usual and still activated. But I admit that the notification of the IDM Fake Serial number is very annoying. Every time it is closed, the same notification will appear again.
Now, you don't need to worry anymore, because here I will explain how to get rid of the registered IDM notification with a fake serial number very easily. The trick is to run TrashReg.exe and stop the visual protect process, then replace the "IDMGrHlp" file on the IDM system with "IDMGrHlp" which I share below. How to Eliminate Notif IDM has been registered with a fake serial number:
- Before using this method, you must ensure that the IDM installed on your PC is the latest IDM. If you don't have the newest IDM, please download the IDM first at the following link.
- Then download IDM Fake Serial Remover at the following link.
- So that the patch process to remove the IDM Fake Serial Number notification runs smoothly, please first turn off the antivirus installed on your PC temporarily.
- Extract the file that you downloaded earlier
- The extract results will be in the form of a folder in which there are several files.
- You double click on the TrashReg.exe file and install as usual.
- After the TrashReg.exe file installation process is complete, you open the application and look for a file called "Visual Protect 3.5+". After meeting it, you click on the 1x file named "Visual Protect 3.5+" and it's deleted.
- Okay, one process is complete. Now go to the next step.
- Now you enter the task manager. For those of you who don't know how to enter the task manager, please right click on your windows taksbar, then click "Start Task Manager".
- After entering the task manager, you select the Processes tab (section). Then you look under the file called "IDMan.exe". If you have found it, please click on the "IDMan.exe" file and select end processes. If you do not find the file called "IDMan.exe" then you can immediately continue to the next step.
- Now run the application "IDM Trial Reset.exe" which is in the extracted folder. Then click the Trial reset tab and you tick 'Automatically'. wait until the process is complete
- When the process is complete, all you have to do is copy the files "IDMGrHlp.exe", "Patch.exe," and also "Registration.reg" to your IDM installation folder and select Replace / Overwrite. Usually the location of the IDM installation folder is in C: \ Program Files \ Internet Download Manager \
- Then the next step is to right click Patch.exe > Run as Administrator > Click Patch > Fill in the first name & last name up to you.
- Close Patch, then click 2x on the file "Registration.reg"
- Done!
